Rangeley Region Rivers
We guide folks for wading and float trips on Rangeley area rivers in the western mountains of Maine.  Some of the rivers that fish are the Magalloway, Rapid, Kennebago and Androscoggin.  Most of our trips are 1-2 hours from Portland, so it may make sense to book lodging in the Rangeley Region for your trip.  We typically guide folks from Memorial Day to July 15.  For the last two weeks of July and the whole month August, we give the trout a rest as water temps are often too high for them to be caught and released successfully.  This is a great time of year to contact striper or smallmouth  bass guides, and there are several that we can recommend you to.  After Labor Day, we start chasing trout and salmon again through mid October.  Please contact us and we can set up the right trip for you!

*Please note that trips on the Rapid are full day trips only and can be physically demanding.  If you're new to wading in rivers, this is not a great place to start.  Please consider this before booking this trip.  This is a great trip for intermediate and advanced fly fishermen.
**There are no half day trips on the Rapid
