I ordered a drift boat that was shipped all the way from Hyde Boats in Idaho. It's a beautiful low profile boat with plenty of storage that provides lots of comfort for fly fishers. I've had the opportunity to take it out twice. This past Saturday I guided two brothers, Matt and Drew, who hadn't fly fished before. The rivers are still very low, the wind kicked up and fishing was tough, but they worked their butts off. While fly fishing is certainly the focus, the relationships you build with people and the sharing of stories and philosophies can be the best part of this job. Guides always appreciate it when clients work hard! Here are some photos of the new boat and Vince slayin' some smallies: Nature can be harsh..... Thanks to Matt and Drew for taking some great photos!
