![]() Fall has been busy for us here at Headin' North. Between guiding, teaching, coaching fall sports and family, it doesn't get much busier. I had the chance to get out in the Western Mountains to some favorite spots the two weekends in September. I spent some time with my father and my best friend on waters that we love to fish. The fishing has been tough this fall due to the lack of rain and high water temps. It has almost gotten to the point of not wanting to fish because of stressing out the fish. No trophies caught on these two weekends, but some quality brook trout and lots of wildlife made the trips memorable. This rush of rain in October will bump up water levels, so a few trips to the Upper Andro will be in the cards. Get out and fish while you still can! The white stuff will be flying before we know it. Check the Maine law book to see what waters are open for the extended season. - Aaron
