The weather has been warm and despite low levels, the fish have been actively feeding. When rivers are low, it's a great time to get out on ponds and lakes. Trolling with lures and streamers along the shoreline can be very effective this time of the year. The low rivers change the location and depths of some favorite fishing holes. Flies can get snagged on the bottom easily, which can be frustrating. We need a little rain to keep the rivers at fishable levels. After the long winter, it just feels good to be back on the water. As the water temps heat up, fishing will continue to get hot for both salmonids and green fish!
